Divont Chocolate Project

The Divont Chocolate Factory is a profitable industrial project with significant social dimensions. Established in the Petra region of Ma'an Governorate, the factory targets the local female workforce, where unemployment rates are high, and contributes to the development of the industrial sector as the first of its kind in the area.
To facilitate the factory's operations, the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority supported the project by completing the necessary approvals and providing investment incentives, aiming to foster industrial development in the Petra region. The factory strives for sustainability and excellence by offering high-quality chocolate products at affordable prices to Jordanian markets, supporting the local community through commercial partnerships, and focusing on continuous training and development for local human resources.
The factory produces various types of chocolates, including those with nuts and special flavors, known as "hospitality chocolate." The chocolate-making process starts with raw chocolate compounds, adds nuts and flavors, and ends with finished chocolate pieces in multiple flavors, shapes, and packaging to meet diverse customer needs. The factory is equipped with chocolate production machinery from the renowned Belgian company Hakos, and Belgian chocolate products are used in the manufacturing process.
Operations at the factory began in late 2021, with 2022 serving as a trial year for market entry and customer engagement in the southern regions of the kingdom. The factory is now expanding its customer base and product development, with ongoing efforts to enhance sales alongside production and product development. The factory received the Silver Jubilee Medal from His Majesty King Abdullah II during a meeting with senators and representatives from Ma'an Governorate at the Founder's King, with the presence of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II.
Divont Chocolate Factory is a successful example of how industrial innovation can be integrated with social development, serving as a model for economic growth and community enhancement in one of Jordan's major tourist regions.
