Rehabilitation of the main path and controlling the tourist routes
PDTRA is rehabilitating the main route to facilitate the movement of visitors, travelers and camels. The route is facilitated by machines. In the sensitive archaeological areas, the assistance of the workshop workers is sought and these works are carried out permanently and continuously to sustain and preserve it and to ensure the safety of tourists and visitors.
Since the promulgation of the PDTRA Law in 2009 and for the purpose of developing the tourist product and opening new horizons to visit the various archaeological sites, new routs have been rehabilitated and opened such as path (Al-Khabtha - Al-Madras rout) where observers were assigned to monitor all matters related to visit these routes. However, some persons bring in tourists through some of these routes without obtaining entry tickets and payment of services to PDTRA Fund. In addition, some of these routs and the ramifications of the corridors may lead to the tourist's loss of the way which requires looking for the missing tourists and cause other repeated and daily problems. Many accidents have been reported.
Project goals:
- Development of tourism product.
- Opening new horizons to visit various archaeological sites.
- Rehabilitation and opening of new routes.
