Geological Tourism Project
After the success of the Environment Department in the Guidance awareness project initiative through placing guidance signs along the tourist routes to educate the tourists of the region's biodiversity and nature of the region, the Department, with the participation of the Control Section staff and specialized geologists worked on the geological tourism project, which is concerned with dissemination of geological guidance information for the region and make them available to researchers and interested parties in terms of tourists and visitors by identifying geological routes and developing signs along these routes and work on a geological guide in this regard, where the timeframe, technical frame and correspondences were prepared for this purpose. Such projects would promote the cultural tourism in the region and activate the economic benefits by prolonging the tourists staying and enhancing the tourist product.
