Maintenance and restoration of some archeological sites

The Main Church: After the room and its annexes subjected to deliberate sabotage and various damage factors as a result of moisture, which increases the large quantities of salts that negatively affect the nature of the archaeological stone that requires maintenance (preventive maintenance, maintenance and direct restoration).
Maintenance and restoration of the High Place of Sacrifice: The High Place of Sacrifice suffers from erosion and cracking due to the livestock walk and the drifts that occur as a result of floods and rain every year. The workshop of the Heritage Resources Directorate under the supervision of the maintenance and restoration department carried out the necessary steps for the stairs and performed maintenance to the stone barriers on the sides of the stairs to facilitate the tourists arrival to the High Place of Sacrifice.
Maintenance and restoration in the Siq: Restoration and maintenance works were carried out in the Siq which was damaged due to natural factors and some sabotage acts.
Maintenance and restoration in Al-Zantour: A restoration works were performed to some parts of Al-Zantour Villa which were vandalized, in addition to the following cleaning and maintenance works as follows:
Renovation and maintenance of Qasr al-Bint: The French mission, in cooperation with the staff of the Heritage Resources Directorate, covered the floors, which were discovered inside and covered the ascending stairs of the palace using geotechnical to protect it from the risk of elements.
The scripts were removed off the natural rocks, and the environmental park was rehabilitated under control over these areas. Also, the course of the floods along the main track was determined for more than one year and employment opportunities were created for more than 50 workers per month.
